It all starts with a philosophy! The foundation of all we do as coaches, whether we are a head coach, coordinator, or position coach needs to start with an overriding philosophy.

This is the optimal time of year to write your philosophy out either for the first time, or to review and revise it as you evolve as a coach.

Rob Pomazak, Head Coach at St. Charles North in Illinois put together a detailed course on writing a coaching philosophy.

Pomazak took his team to the state final game in 2018, and though he came up short, it’s easy to see that his attention to detail and organization have helped propel his program to state prominence.
