The Growth Note | Sight vs. Vision
Read it. Feel it. Do something with it.

Hey you,
Helen Keller once said,
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”
She lost her sight and hearing at 19 months old — yet went on to graduate college, write books, and inspire generations.
That quote has been echoing in my mind all week. Because it’s easy to look around and see what is. It takes courage, discipline, and imagination to see what could be.
Sight notices what’s in front of us.
Vision builds what isn’t there yet.
3 Truths About Visionary Leadership
1. Vision Is a Muscle, Not a Miracle
People talk about “having vision” like it’s a lightning strike — it’s not.
Vision is built through reflection, curiosity, and clarity of purpose. It grows as you practice looking past the obvious.
2. Communication Gives Vision Its Shape
A leader’s vision only matters if others can see it too.
That’s why storytelling and clarity are the tools of every visionary.
If you can’t articulate the future you see, you can’t lead people toward it.
3. Vision Outlives Visibility
True vision holds steady when results aren’t visible yet.
Leadership means believing in the outcome long before anyone else does.
You lead because you see — not because others already agree.
2 Quotes to Reflect On
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” – Helen Keller
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” – Proverbs 29:18
1 Stretch for the Week
Take 10 quiet minutes this week to write down your vision for something that matters to you — your career, your business, or your relationships.
Don’t focus on what’s realistic — focus on what’s worth it.
Then, share it with someone. Because vision grows stronger when it’s spoken out loud.
If this week’s Growth Note spoke to you, forward it to someone who’s been staring at the road in front of them but forgetting to look at the horizon.
More soon — until then, speak boldly.
