imageSouthernism of the Week: “Never sign nothing by neon.”

Learn more about The Teenage Adventures of Felony Melanie, a comedy series featuring the characters from the movie Sweet Home Alabama, by the scriptwriter and his sister.

Doug was at WonderCon, where he participated in a pitching panel (on how writers pitch their ideas to producers) and met lots of interesting "people"!

Kris’s voice recognition mistake of the week: Okay, when voice recognition hears “mystery for adults” as “mystery for dogs,” that’s funny. But when I said, “that is” and it heard “fat ass,” that could get me in trouble! đŸ«ą

The big excitement at Kris's house involves two new young ferrets! A couple moving to an apartment that didn't allow pets needed to rehome them. Aren't they adorable? That's Rigby and Mercury, both boys.

Kris's new series launches April 28 with A Stone Cold Murder, but the ARC is available now. What’s an ARC? An Advance Reader Copy! The purpose of an ARC is to generate reviews on publication day. Reviews drive sales. Sales means money for the author, and that means the author is happy. 😁

imageAre you willing to do a little reading, write an honest review, and help me have a great publication day? Apply for an early review copy via BookSprout. (An Amazon review required so you need an Amazon account. That's the publisher's decision not mine. If you don't use Amazon, reply to this newsletter and I'll try to set you up with another option.)

You can also preorder now (available at all major retailers in print and ebook for delivery on 4/28). That’s another great way to help me have a wonderful launch day!

An ARC reviewer on BookBub called A Stone Cold Murder, “A good old-fashioned murder mystery with a twist. The supernatural elements make this book interesting. I empathized with the main character, and she was genuine and reluctant as the title implies
it was suspenseful and kept you guessing until the end
 Good read.”
