This is generally used to refer to someone dishonest, but it would be a compliment if someone said this about our novels! (Readers have mentioned plot twists … just not pretzels.)

Visit the Amazon series page for Felony Melanie: Sweet Home Alabama romantic comedy novels or find the links to other ebook retailers.

imageCandice Bergen recently had a birthday! Doug says, “such a formidable mayor and formidable mother in Sweet Home Alabama. I gotta admit, I was a bit star struck when we had breakfast at the press junket.”

Southern Treat of the Week: Buttermilk pie is an old-fashioned Southern dessert, sweet, slightly tangy, creamy and smooth. "As penny-pinchers and rationers during the Depression and World War II, Southern women worked with what they had, making pies with common ingredients like vinegar and green tomatoes," according to Southern Living. Kris’s voice recognition mistake of the day: He re-strained himself. 🤨

imageKris got two pieces of good news: The first 3 Accidental Detective humorous mystery novels will come out in audio! PLUS HarperCollins/Harlequin contracted for the mass market paperback rights of Something Shady at Sunshine Haven. (Mass-market is the small paperback size. Right now they’re in the larger trade paperback.) I don’t know yet when the new versions will be out. Do you do audiobooks?

Here's a peek at life in New Mexico for Kris lately. Those are prickly pear cacti blooming.
