I'd relish a ketchup walk sometime! 😁

Southernism of the Week: “Company’s coming; add a cup of water to the soup.” A good one for the holidays, we suppose!

Kris’s voice recognition mistake of the week: "I hope you and I can have a ketchup walk sometime." (I'd relish that!)

Doug and Kris spent Thanksgiving break with our mother in Arizona, where we hiked among these teddy bear cacti (don't let the name fool you!):

Below Kris shows off the rental house on the "lake" in the Phoenix area where we spent Thanksgiving. (The water isn't much wider than what you see here, but it was still a great view!):

The menu includes every day Southern standard such as cornbread and cheese straws along with holiday specials such as ambrosia and homemade eggnog.

No need to worry about the mail being slow! Buying our books is a great gift for writers as well. After all, we need money for our holiday travel and unpaid time off. 🎁

imageVisit the Amazon series page or the B&N page for Felony Melanie: Sweet Home Alabama romantic comedy novels or find the links to other ebook retailers. Readers say, “If you liked the movie Sweet Home Alabama, you’ll love the books that tell the stories leading up to the movie.”

imageIn Kris’s humorous Accidental Detective series, a witty journalist solves mysteries in Arizona and tackles the challenges of starting over in midlife. Find all the links to the series here.

If you prefer more romance, Kris has romantic suspense novels as well. See the Treasure Hunting Romantic Suspense series page.

imageKris’s Accidental Billionaire Cowboys series has launched with The Billionaire Cowboy’s Christmas. "Who wouldn't want to be a billionaire? Turns out winning the lottery causes as many problems as it solves." Our mom says, "I just finished reading The Billionaire Cowboy and really enjoyed it." She doesn't usually read romance and doesn't hesitate to say when she thinks we could do better!

imageKris’s Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series features the workers and customers at a small-town cat café, and the adorable cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. Each book is a complete story with a happy ending for one couple (and maybe more than one rescued cat). Get the print or ebook via the Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series page on Amazon US or Amazon UK.

Books on our radar

The Seaside Murder Before Christmas (a By the Sea Cozy Mystery) by Shannon Symonds: "Murder has darkened the Christmas spirit. Sophie and Esther take seasonal jobs at the newest business in town: a books and bakery shop. But when someone starts killing the competition at another bookstore, the girls know they must find answers before Santa comes to town." The first book in the series has a lot of favorable reviews, and the books are inexpensive and in KU.

imageElephant on my Chest, by Ashleigh Stevens: "Sixteen-year-old Izzy is excited about the all-school ski trip. When an unexpected power outage triggers a panic attack, Izzy is forced to tell the vilest--albeit cutest--boy in school her biggest secret. She's even more surprised to learn his and sees her enemy in a new light. But their secrets are nothing compared to the one Izzy's mother has been keeping for sixteen years. When Izzy discovers the truth, she must learn to confront her panic disorder or else live with the elephant sitting on her chest." Reviewers say the young adult story is sweet with depth.

The ferrets come along with Kris and her husband (via car). They're pretty relaxed travelers.
