You could probably guess that one was from a cat café book, and that should be chased, not chaste. The Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series features the workers and customers at a small-town cat café, and the adorable cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. Each book is a complete story with a happy ending for one couple (and maybe more than one rescued cat).

I spent last weekend at a writing retreat at the Norbertine Abbey near Albuquerque. It’s a beautiful location in the desert, with a view of the mountains and wonderful sunsets. And it’s always lovely to spend time with writing friends!

The ferrets continue to keep us on our toes. Mercury digs litter out of the litter box (fortunately only when it’s clean) and food out of his food bowl, so maybe he was an excavator in a previous life. Meanwhile, we think Rigby was a security expert, because he can get anywhere, especially places he’s not supposed to go. That shelf is about at human head height.
