No one is more important than cats 😾

imageVoice recognition mistake of the day: “Obviously I'll be more important than cats,” Caroline said.

“That might depend on who you ask,” Carl said with a rye grin.

Caroline thought people are more important than cats, and Carl’s grin was neither rye bread or rye whiskey, but it was wry.

Those came up while I was writing Pride and Prejudice at the Cat Café (coming soon!). The novel starts like this:

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a man in possession of a fortune can be convinced to donate to a special needs cat rescue.”

Liz paused in brushing the cream and white cat in her lap and glanced over at her friend Jade. “What?”

“Rich guy. Money for cat rescue.” Jade jumped up and started pacing. The cat cafĂ© wasn’t the easiest place to pace, with half a dozen small tables, several tall cat towers, and a giant version of a hamster wheel. Not to mention several patrons eating, drinking, or playing with cats, in addition to the cats napping in hammocks or on the benches, and the sleek Bengal racing in the wheel.

Here's a short video of a Bengal cat racing on a cat wheel.

imageIf mysteries are more your thing, are you caught up on the Accidental Detective humorous mystery series? In Someone Rotten Riding Rails, Kate and her crew of misfits set out to blow the whistle on two feuding crime families...

But what has Bear Bear the ferret been up to, you ask? Snuggling, grooming mama, and crawling back into bed. What better way to spend winter?

And it was winter in New Mexico – at least for a few hours! The snow melted quickly. I hope you're staying safe and warm (but not too warm if you're in the Southern Hemisphere).
