It's hitting 105 degrees every day this week, so I'm staying inside with the AC on. I do miss the outdoors. Who wouldn't when a memory like this came up on Facebook? This is from when a friend visited three years ago:

"So after I took them on a desert hike with dust-laden heavy winds, and up to 10,000 feet where we got caught in a hailstorm, my friends had a 45-minute bear encounter (mostly from inside their van) at the campsite we recommended.* Who wants to visit next? You'll go home with great photos, stories, and possibly a few scars."

* No guests were permanently injured in the course of this visit.

Ah, good times! No guests recently, of course. It is pretty here though. I just wish those clouds would drop more rain.

Voice recognition mistake of the day: "Yesterday we shared a pizza from our peach tree." Oh, I wish.
