Moving forward despite setbacks

Hi ,

I have to admit that the last month hasn't been productive. Between busted pipes, helping a friend who needed me, and several smaller things, I have barely managed to accomplish anything.

I need to apologize to any of you who read KU and wanted to download The Fox Assassin. Apparently, when you select not to renew the KU participation on the day that it renews it drops it then and not in three months which I had intended. I only recently realized that this happened and I'm sorry for it. Putting it back into KU doesn't fit with my plans for it, so I have a different offer for you.

I will send a free copy of The Fox Assassin through BookFunnel to anyone who replies to this email and requests the book.

Despite my setbacks last month, I think I should be able to stick with the plans I mentioned last month. I might need to push Once upon a Betrothal into May and everything else a month down, but I'll wait and see how it looks when we get closer.

However, I think I should push my newsletter schedule change into March instead because there is so much more I need to do to be ready for that.

On February 14th, I'll be doing a takeover on the Kingdom of Fairytales FaceBook page. I hope to see some of you there!

Last month's giveaway winner is Carol at cg ... g0 at gmail dot com. If this is you, you should have received your gift card by now.

For this month's giveaway of a $5 Amazon gift card, reply to this email and let me know what you want to see more of.

Why did he lie? We were so in tune with each other.

I feel head over heals in love with him. I thought he loved me too.

Who is the beautiful redhead he is having a working dinner with? Two nights in a row. We were supposed to have a special night out tonight.

No way, No explanation needed... I am done.

Living next door to him is hard.

He is going off the deep end, partying all the time.

What has happened to that nice, professional man I fell in love with?

His so called friends continue to ruin my rose bushes every time he has a party. I need to make this stop.

A baby... what? He has a baby?

He is coming my way. Is he going to gloat that he is happy and has a baby and rub it in my face?

Why is he so handsome? My heart trembles at the sight of him. Stop my dear heart, don't fall for him, he is trouble.

I was right, he was seeing that gal, must have been before he started seeing me. Looks like a new born...

What? Did I see someone put that baby at his front door?

No...

Wait, someone left that baby at his door? Who would do that? AH, he abandoned some girl and she is going to make him pay.

Not his baby? Would I help him?

Here I go, I can feel my heart pulling toward him.

Her name? The note says her name is Gracie.

imageAmara's Sacrifice by Angela K. French

Forced to make a heart-wrenching decision, she must entrust her precious baby to an unsuspecting Earth family, a family chosen by her prophetic husband's tireless search for the perfect haven.

As Amara covertly lands on Earth during the final throes of labor, time becomes her greatest enemy. With only fleeting moments left, she must navigate the delicate art of persuasion, desperately pleading with this chosen family to accept her newborn.

Experience the gripping tale of a mother's unyielding love, interwoven with themes of sacrifice, destiny, and the unknowable future. Will Amara's courageous journey to protect her innocent child lead to a brighter, alternate future, shielded from the ominous forces that threaten their very existence?

This is the extended story of the prologue Amara from Echoes of a Seer: The Starbinds Series, Book 1.

imageWhen a Slave Falls by Cathryn deVries

"This is a sublime piece of writing that defies easy categorisation. A kind of medieval fantasy with a touch of magic. Incredible world building … reminiscent of Alexandrian libraries, Bedouin caravans and Moroccan souks, there is a sense of a larger and stranger world that is both conveyed and hidden … An extraordinary story."

- Dr Rashida Murphy, 2023 Stuart and Hadow judge

When Samah is tasked with collecting reeds, she expects only a day of relief from her monotonous and somewhat lonely duties as a slave in Tarquin N’Khapha’s library, but when a fey hunting cat catches her attention, possibilities much wilder than that are awakened, for the cat’s master needs her help—and maybe something more.

Featuring a clever, outspoken slave and a mysterious, ill-tempered nobleman, 'When A Slave Falls' will sweep you into a desert culture both familiar and unique. Immerse yourself in the lush prose and subtle world building, and make your own guess about whether the power imbalance will be overturned.
