Hi ,
Most of my work this past month has been focused on editing. I now have at title for the book I mentioned last time. I'm calling it Princess of Hope. So far, I've fixed the most glaring issues and removed scenes that don't need to be there, so it's sitting a little on the shorter side at just over 45,000 words right now. I have a few more edits I want to make myself before sending to others to help.
I've also been working on something new. I set up a page on Ream. It's kind of like Patreon for authors. I'm planning on releasing everything there before anywhere else. Since I'm planning to pull most of my books out of Kindle Unlimited, I'll be posting my backlist on there as a different way to read my books.
There's still time to download it if you're a KU reader, but I changed my status to not auto renew Once upon a Shoe or the Once upon a Story Omnibus in the program. The last day Once upon a Shoe should be in KU is May 2nd. And the Omnibus should be available in KU until May 19.
I'm not completely pulling out of KU, but I plan to only keep my most recent book available in the program at any given time. It's just not working as well for me as an author as it used to.
The winner of my last giveaway is Stephanie at jas...aol dot com. Unsurprisingly, Christmas was the most loved holiday. I enjoyed reading all of the responses.
Sales, Freebies, and/or New Releases
To celebrate the new cover, Once upon a Story Omnibus will be on sale for $2.99 from March 12-18.
If you're a wide reader, Child of Fur and Feathers has gone wide and I enrolled it into Kobo Plus. I don't know what the timeline is for each and every store since this is the first time I've attempted to publish wide, but if it isn't on your preferred store yet, let me know and I can look into it.
Child of Fur and Feathers is also available as my first backlist story on Ream, along with the working version of Princess of Hope.
Writing Snippet from Child of Fur and Feathers
I’m so busy daydreaming that I forgot to listen for anyone else. Something about this place set me at ease, despite knowing that could be a deadly mistake.
So when I bump into a boy on my way out of the pantry, I’m caught completely by surprise. Stupid me. Although my initial instinct should be to flee, I stare right back as he stares at me.
The amber-brown eyes that match my own mesmerize me. His hair is black falling in waves just long enough to frame his face. This boy is beautiful.
As if realizing he’s been caught in the same stupor I have, he shifts from one foot to another, muttering an apology.
His voice is apparently the motivation my mind needed to function again. I should not be standing here staring at a beautiful boy who shouldn’t have seen me. I sprint for the staircase—something I should have done before.
