Hi ,

I'm currently looking for some early readers as my next editing stage for Princess of Hope and I'm weighing some book cover options. I've also included the rough draft on my Ream page as one of the subscription perks for anyone who's interested.

If you're a KU reader who wants to read Once upon a Shoe, it will be leaving KU on May 2nd. So make sure to download it before then if you want to read it for free.

I completely forgot to set up a giveaway in my last newsletter. So I don't have any winners to announce. If you want to enter this month's giveaway for a $5 Amazon gift card, fill out this quick survey.

Sales, Freebies, and/or New Releases

Depending on how long you've been following me, you may or may not have been around when I wrote Once upon a Seamstress for the Under the Rainbow anthology. It's been a while since I regained my rights to the book after the anthology ended. SpacePyratChica has designed me a cover for it and I published it on Amazon and in KU recently. If you bought the anthology, I haven't made any changes. This one is my shortest book due to the limits of the anthology it was written for, but if there's enough interest I may expand it later. It's also my only current FF romance.

Writing Snippet from Once upon a Seamstress

Excited for the rare opportunity to spend a morning with her brother, Daisy bounced down the stairs. Every one of her golden curls were in place and her lavender morning gown was impeccable. She didn’t leave any minor detail to chance that could spoil her time with Jarrik.

“Good morning!” She greeted him with a wide smile as she opened the door.

The dour expression on his face nearly made her lose her good mood. But she wasn’t ready to let it be a bad day yet. At least there wouldn’t be any social engagements to deal with.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, hoping conversation may help him recover from his mood, and just be her brother for a little while.

Trapped together while the investigation is underway, Ivy finds herself in a thickening plot of intrigue among the bridesmaids, guests, and a mysterious stranger lurking on the isle.

While dodging flirtation, sampling delicious dishes, and falling in love with Monty the pup, our amateur sleuth discovers everyone on the island has secrets. Some they are willing to kill for.

One twist leads to another as Ivy races to unmask the true culprit. A murderer in their midst no one ever suspected.

Ivy's brother is missing. She'll go through whatever lengths to get to him, even if that means making a deal with the devil of the city.

Can Ivy find the truth out, and free her brother from his debt before the city kills her?

Excerpt

“Your brother is missing.”

Her mother’s voice resonated within Ivy. She couldn’t help but notice she’d said “missing,” not “ran away,” like Ivy knew he had. He had done this more times than she could count. Ivy was getting tired of it.

Ivy shook her head and then knocked the phone against her head like she was trying to hit this conversation right out of her head.

“I’m at work, I’ll handle this when I get off,” Ivy said.

“Oh, and Ivy, go easy on him,” her mother added.

“Yes, because that seems to be working so well.” She hung up the phone and sighed with exasperation.

Life’s a pain when your boss is a vampire…

I'm just a regular girl—I graduated from college, I go to work every day at my dad's publishing company, and I like to write books with my three best friends in my spare time. All in all, it's a pretty good routine.

Except for the part where I get terrorized by vampires.

Add in some brain-bending, an annoyingly smug vamp, and a run-in with a member of society royalty and you've got the recipe for "Nora's Twisted Version of Reality". All I want is to publish my book and work up the nerve to ask out my crush, is that really so much to ask?

But hey, why not throw in the Father of all Evil, instead? What's life without an impending apocalypse, after all?

The Paranormal Literary Society series comprises four interconnected romances, each inspired by a classic fairy tale and with its own happily ever after. It features relatable, complex male & female leads; dual points of view; a cast of human and supernatural characters; sweet, slow-burn romance; and generous helpings of humor and adventure. The series includes an overarching plot and should be read in order.

For fans of K. M. Shea, J.M. Stengl, and Shari L. Tapscott!
