[reko.day] Who Wants to See the Future of reko.day?!

Happy Friday!

Last night I was at my local beekeeping meeting, and normally it's a very quiet crowd whose average age is 65. Anyway, the speaker discussed how there is easy money to be made as a beekeeper by selling Nucs and honey. Nucs, for those who don't know, are small hives that beekeepers buy to establish a new larger one. It's a great way to start a hive, and they run for about $180 each. I ordered two myself.

As for the honey, he mentioned the trick was getting in front of people. This got the room talking. They began asking how much to price their honey at, and how they should get in front of people. They complained that Facebook was a hassle, and I probably was grinning ear to ear.

They were complaining about how hard it was to sell the honey they worked so hard to make, and I'm building reko.day to make it easy for them and easy for people who want to buy it!

Before I get into the next thing, the video today is me showing the design for how reko.day will look. I've been working with an amazing designer for the past two weeks to finalize these designs, and I'm absolutely thrilled.

I've built maybe two dozen mobile apps in my career, and finding good designers who understand mobile design is hard. The gentleman I worked with is one of the best I've seen, and I think his work was delightful.

So watch the video and let me know what you think!

Anyway, I want to ask a question to you.

Currently, what I've shown in videos and planned on is for you to have the option to pre-pay for your purchase through the app. The thought is that you'd rather securely pay online than show up with cash to pick up your fruits and vegetables. I'm trying to decide if that is a feature I MUST have when I launch the app or if it's one I can add later. Would paying in cash for your orders on pickup prevent you from using reko.day?

You can reply back to this email with your answers.

See the New Designs!

Sincerely,

Ryan
