Happy Friday,

If you haven't realized, I would like to send out these weekly updates on Friday. I hope your Friday is going well!

Out of curiosity, do you have an indoor winter farmer's market where you are? We do here, but I hadn't really ever seen that before. I think farmer's markets are good things and good fun, but they are not really effective at getting ahold of local goods.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun way to spend a Saturday walking around and looking at stuff, but if I want some apples grown at the nearby orchard, I have to find their stall and hope they show up and still have some. So a fun experience, but not ideal to quickly get the local stuff I actually want.

One time I thought I was going to buy everything I needed to make burgers that night for us and some friends. It took me longer to find all of that at the farmer's market than if I went to a mega-store. It left an impression on me for sure.

Why was it so hard to get ahold of fresh, local stuff!?

Anyway, that's my own personal story about reko.day's importance to me. I really just want to get fresh local stuff easily.
