[reko.day] Prepare To Launch 🚀
Nov 17, 2023 3:29 pm
Happy Friday,
I plan to submit reko.day to the Apple Store for review very soon! That means that, hopefully, before Christmas, anyone in the US with an iPhone will be able to start buying and selling produce locally!
So, if you'd like to offer any last-minute feedback, sign up for the beta and check it out!
What are some of the changes I've put into the latest beta? Here they are:
- Allow users to delete their account and data completely
- Reporting issues/fraud with orders
- Allowing for refund requests to farmers
- Fixing up lots of little hiccups with how product images showed up
- Small fix to the subscription screen to show you what you're currently subscribed to
- Added in user analytics so I can get a sense of what people use and don't use in the app
- Fixed an issue where editing a product didn't remember your rekos
So what's left?
- Testing account deletion
- Smoothing out the subscription flow
That's it! When those two things are done, I'll submit the app. I have a huge list of things to work on after that so the app can keep getting better and better, but the first version will be finished, and everyone in the US will be able to use it.
Once that happens, my focus will shift a bit to marketing the app so folks will find it and use it.
So here's the question for you: where do you think I should focus my marketing? If you want to see reko.day take off where you live. Tell me where that is, and I can add it to the list so I target that area early!
So far, my list of places to target first are:
- Northwest Arkansas
- Northeast Oklahoma
- The Triangle in North Carolina
- Kansas City
If you want your area on the list, reply back with where that is, and we'll figure it out together!
Sincerely,
Ryan
PS: Last week I did a recipe for some quick homemade stuffing. Well, this time I'm going to share a video from my favorite chef of all time making a really easy apple tart.
