[reko.day] A Big Question

Nov 10, 2023 3:28 pm

Happy Friday,

I'm wrapping up one of the last things in the app before I submit it which is allowing folks to delete their account. This little feature is one of those things that sounds easy, but there are some tricky parts.

I have also set up most of the images and screenshots needed for the App Store page, and I'm pretty proud of how they look.

When that's done, I'll continue squashing out some bugs and smoothing out a few things around subscriptions, but the app will be done and ready to submit. If Apple approves the app, it'll be live!

But before I do that I have a very important question and I really want your help with it.

Is there something missing from the app that you need before you download and sign up?

Now, since we're all getting ready for the holidays, I'll put a small recipe in here, just for fun. Maybe you can get some of the ingredients locally.

Minute Stuffing:

This recipe is super easy and is a great way to make stuffing from scratch when you need a little extra or for leftovers, or just want to try something different. I use this a lot when I roast a chicken.

Ingredients:

3 slices of bread

Carrot

Celery

Onion

Butter

Salt & Pepper

Other herbs (Thyme and sage are my go-to)

Recipe:

  1. Tear the bread up and process in a food processor until it is coarse bread crumbs
  2. Dice carrot, celery, and onion in equal amounts (1/3rd cup each or so)
  3. In a saucepan, put 2-3 tablespoons of butter, and melt the butter over medium heat
  4. Add the diced vegetables, salt, pepper, and herbs and cook for 3-4 minutes until they have cooked a little but still have some crunch
  5. Dump in the bread crumbs, turn off the heat, mix everything up and cover.
  6. Serve while still warm

Sincerely,

Ryan
