Go hard or go home?

Happy Wednesday, !
You know that old saying, โGo hard or go homeโ?
Wellโฆif youโve been going hard for a while, it might actually be time to go home!
For a little slow cardio, some mobility work, or just an actual rest day. ๐
Hereโs something to keep in mind: Everything has its season, and your body isnโt a machine.
Even when youโre doing everything โright,โ your body naturally cycles through phases like:
Recovering
Adapting
Building
Prepping for your next round of โpushingโ for more results
Most of us only celebrate the obvious progressโฆ fat loss, muscle gain, PRs, etcโฆ.
And we often misinterpret the slower periods as failure.
Those slower phases are vital.
If you're hitting a plateau or feeling like your progress has stalled, it's likely because:
Your body is adapting to the work you've already done
It's rebuilding strength
Your metabolism is being protected from slowing down
NONE of that is backsliding, and ALL of it is part of the process.
In fact, plateaus can help your body find a new โsetpoint,โ which is basically a new center of balance.
So, what should you do in a slower season?
Ask yourself: What's the minimum I need to do this week to stay in the game?
A workout plan that helps you maintain what youโve achieved
A nutrition plan that gives your body enough of what it needs
Fresh air and sunshine
7-8 hours of sleep a night
Consistency
And when your next growth phase kicks in, youโll actually have something left in the tank.
Progress isnโt linear. But consistency through all of your seasons? Thatโs what builds results that last!
