Wrapped in warmth 🦅

Hi ,

Stay warm. It is so cold.

This morning, as I woke to the wind howling, my front door blown wide open, my bedroom door slamming, the sound wrapped itself around me — sharp, piercing, almost as if the air itself wanted to speak. Come to think of it it was speaking... Have you ever felt the message inside the wind? Maybe, I just didn't understand the language.

...And the cold was biting, startling in a way we don’t usually feel here. With Jamaica dropping to 58°F / 14°C, when we’re used to our easy 80-degree days, it feels like winter has wandered into our tropical doorway.

This wind and bone shattering temperature (hey, I live in Jamaica!) reminded me how quickly things can shift to chaos and uncertainty. Which is exactly why it's so important to wrap ourselves in warmth, not just physically, but in every way that steadies us.

It made me think of this image of myself that came to me as I was meditating —praying the litany of the saints very early one morning.

For me, this vision that arose is a symbol of what it feels like to be protected, covered, and wrapped in warmth even when the winds rise.

That is what I want for you today:

A sense of safety.

A feeling of being held.

A reminder that even in the coldest moments — literal or emotional — you are not exposed. You are surrounded by strength, softness, and something larger that keeps you steady.

Wherever you are, I hope you’re wrapped in comfort — layers on your skin, kindness in your home, and a small pocket of peace in your heart.

Sip something warm. Slow down where you can.

Feel protected. Feel held. Stay warm.

And when you are ready, please share with me the messages from your season of wind.

With love and warmth,
