Who Are You Holding Space For Today?

Last night, a dear friend opened his heart to me. He is one of the very few people I feel safe enough to share my full truth with. Like me, he is a healer and an empath. In addition, he is a trained clinical psychologist with several advanced degrees. He has spent years holding space for others, guiding them through the darkest corners of their minds.


Yet yesterday, he admitted that he has been struggling with both suicidal and homicidal thoughts.


That confession sat heavily on my chest. It reminded me that even the strongest among us, the most educated, the most attuned, the ones who know all the theories and techniques, can find themselves in unimaginable emotional pain.


, this is one of the reasons I continue to do this work, despite its challenges. Every single day, somewhere, someone is fighting a silent battle. Someone is carrying far more than their spirit was meant to hold. Someone desperately needs a hand to hold or simply one person to say, “I see you, and your life matters.”


So today, I want to invite you to pause and reflect:

Who are you willing to be present for today?

Who might need your encouragement?

Who might be waiting for a sign that they are not alone?


Presence is a gift. It can save a life. It can restore hope. It can remind someone that their story is not yet over.
