The thing nobody's naming (but everyone's feeling)

Hello ,

If you’ve been feeling a little unsettled lately, you’re not imagining it.

There’s a lot moving through the world right now — fear, grief, uncertainty, collective memories of survival. Even if the stories aren’t directly yours, your body still feels the weight of it all.

So if you’ve noticed yourself holding your breath, bracing, or feeling a quiet tension you can’t quite name… I want to offer you this:

Pause.

Place one hand on your heart.

Inhale slowly.

Exhale even slower.

You are here.

You are safe in this moment.

Your breath is your anchor.

The world will always have storms, but you don’t have to take every one of them into your nervous system. You’re allowed to soften. You’re allowed to come back into your body. You’re allowed to choose steadiness even when everything around you feels shaky.

If today feels heavy, let this be your reminder:

You are not alone.

You are not late.

You are not failing.

You are simply human — sensing, feeling, responding.

And you get to return to yourself, again and again.

, please reply and let me know how you're really doing. I read every response.

With quiet steadiness,

Sandra Rose Hamilton
