When Life Interrupts: The unexpected pause
Jul 06, 2025 4:12 pm
Good morning ,
I want to start off by saying thanks to the persons who checked up on me. It's been a hard week. I had family, 4 generations, visiting with me for 2 weeks. However, last week, my nephew's lung spontaneously collapsed.
It's been hard. Nerve wracking. Emergency. Doctors. Trying to stop parents - my nephew's father, from knocking out (or strangling) a doctor who he thought was disrespectful. Managing stress, tension and guilt within the family.
I need a rest.
So in the meantime, the family now needs to get back home to their jobs in the USA... but the young man (obviously) will not be allowed to fly.
This is where I stop and salute ALL Parents.
I want you to think of all the persons who stepped in the gap for you, whispered a prayer, held a hand. Emotional support is really important.
During this week, I will be sharing a couple of blog posts with you.
...And for those who paid up for Soul Story Retreat - YES! We are still on. July 18-20. But I do need to sleep for more than 3/4 hours for the day before I can write anything coherent :(
I will keep you updated. And again, thanks for missing me, reaching out and caring.
From an emotionally exhausted Dr H
