Dear , if you were a season (spring, summer, fall, or winter), which would you be?

When Jesus is doing a major work in or through me, He seems to always bring me back to gardening metaphors and seasons in nature - and I'm NOT a gardener type. But I love asking Him the same question, “which season am I in?”

The answer to this simple question reveals what is beautiful and true about where I’m at. Knowing the season I’m helps points to what I’m lacking and where to find it, and then it projects what to look forward to next.

Recently, I’ve been in a major season of healing and I feel I’ve been invited into SPRING with Jesus! It’s amazing! And if I’m honest, sometimes I feel afraid of this glorious spring ending and falling into scorching heat of summer, devastating loss of fall, or the numbness of winter.

God is reminding me in so many ways that the season isn’t actually as important as I think. Instead, His Presence with me is what matters.

That's why this painting is called:

“In every season, I am with you.”
