Hello
Last week was a pretty busy week for me, I had a long to-do list and that interrupted my usual meal planning for the week. In about 48 hours I ended up eating more calories than I had probably done in weeks. I ate small chops (with a lot of puff-puff), I had a few pieces of chicken in one meal, I ate without any thought given to my portions and all these happened because I didn’t plan in advance (this happens, it’s life, it won’t always be perfect).
By Thursday I had to catch myself, I had to stop auto-piloting, or else it will end in premium tears. So I began to make “amends” by prepping my healthy option meals for Friday and into the weekend so I can begin the recovery process of my poor food decisions.
Will this cycle ever happen again? Of course, it will but guess what? I will make sure I make “amends” and jump back on my fitness journey every time it does.
The point of today’s email is to remind you that perfection isn’t the goal but consistency is.
Life will happen and you might not work out for weeks and that’s fine. But, what you must understand is that you can get back in the game. Just because you missed a few healthy meals or exercises doesn’t mean that your fitness journey is doomed, there's always an opportunity to "recover".
I hope this helps
