I hope everyone was able to enjoy Veterans Day. To those of you who've served, thank you. I'd love to hear your stories sometime.
This is my second Veteran's Day since I retired after a twenty year career as a rescue and special ops C-130 pilot. A good part of me is still a little surprised I made it to retirement, to be honest, and I mean that in a few different ways. For better or for worse, I'm proud of the things I did and humbled by those with whom I served.
Biggest news on my own personal front- Witch Hunt has cover art!
During one of the earliest blockade actions of the Civil War, Sergeant Alexander Philips of the United States Marine Corps witnesses an unspeakable horror. With no explanation, he finds himself in charge of a group of hotheads and misfits in a strange, unorthodox unit. His new commander is the enigmatic Lieutenant Addison Green, who knows nothing about the military, but a great deal about something else entirely. He comes bearing a collection of weapons geared towards fighting something other than confederates.
The marines of M Company take part in the Battle of Roanoke Island, doing a job far different than that of the other soldiers. They learn their true purpose—hunting the monsters that flood into the world in times of conflict. In the jungles of Roanoke, they find their first mission—to hunt down the mysterious woman in white, a witch who commands the legions of hell and enchants the unsuspecting.
Their journey takes them through Saint Augustine and behind enemy lines to New Orleans, where they find an even greater threat to the Union than they ever expected.
They’ll fight the unseen evil, on the land or on the sea!
I'll announce the release date soon. It's a series I'd love to continue... we'll see.
While you're waiting for that, check out the latest audiobook from Three Ravens:
It was supposed to be a simple contract for a couple of months of security services off world, but the devil's in the details.
Tight Bridge Technologies hired Ethan Fargo and his militia to guard their power stations on the planet Endine against mob unrest and sabotage. When they arrive, they find the planetary authorities don't want outsiders around to uncover their dirty secrets, and the Galactic Patrol's not interested in providing backup. They all but order him to stop making waves, kicking asses, and taking names. The harder Fargo works to keep his people safe, the more troubles he finds. Dragoons and pirates are stalking the outer system, while the planet itself is a snakepit of treachery, tyranny, rebellion, and corruption. Everyone wants him to fail, while taking the blame.
They made one mistake: they underestimated Ethan Fargo. After the locals kills two of his Ghorkas, and kidnap his lady, he's out for blood, and to hell with anything in his way....

Mix all that with creatures of legend and myth, and you get an anthology with fifteen great stories.

But wait, there’s more! There are eight exciting stories from the Eldros Legacy, a new shared setting coming soon. Hunters will find more than they expected, kings are betrayed, and who will stand up to the Engraver of Bones?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09L44T5XW
And:
On-the-job training can be hazardous to your health…
Lorna Greenwood hopes the Lunar Free State’s Fleet Academy will prepare her to follow in her grandmother’s legendary footsteps. Her roommate Nova Sakura has already spent time in the LFS Marines and wants to move up to the officer ranks.
First, though, they have to survive four years of training. Military service gets real for Lorna when the assault carrier Omaha Beach comes under fire during her first year training cruise. Nova’s first year cruise aboard the light cruiser Hydra seems pretty routine, until she’s called upon to take charge of a squad of Marines boarding a ship full of murderous pirates.
And nothing prepares them for the challenges they face after graduation, when they’re both assigned to the same ship and find themselves facing an alien enemy in a distant star system, in what could be the start of another interstellar war.
Two young women put their lives on the line in the service of Luna…even if that means leaving family, friends, and their hearts behind.
