Next up, I'm a little late in announcing the second Ravages of Honor novel by Monalisa Foster. If you haven't been following her, you need to. She's the master storyteller who puts other master storytellers to shame.

Would you embrace darkness to save your child?

House Dobromil has stood against the emperor since the beginning. For generations, they have defied tyrannical edicts and stood up for donai and humans.

For decades, war has crept ever closer and now, Syteria, a rebellious human woman Darien has chosen to be his future queen may be the spark that sets the Imperium to flame.

When Syteria crosses paths with the emperor’s agents, the unthinkable happens.

With the survival of both races in peril, with the future of House Dobromil on the line, the stakes for Darien and Syteria are higher than ever.

Driven by death and betrayal, victory and defeat, tragedy and secrets, can Syteria and Darien ascend to fulfill their destinies?

Ravages of Honor: Ascension picks up right after the end of Ravages of Honor: Conquest. While it can be read as a standalone (it is a complete story with its own beginning, middle, and end), it was meant to be read in sequence.

The latest from Chris Kennedy Publishing is Gnamma, book four in the Abner Fortis series by P.A. Piatt!

After a year-long war bond tour of Terra Earth while his battle wounds healed, Lieutenant Fortis is ready to get back to the ISMC infantry. When Fleet medical refuses to clear him for full duty, he faces a bleak future behind a desk in Personnel or Logistics. Instead, his mentor from Ninth Division, Colonel Anders, recruits Fortis for the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Branch of the ISMC intelligence organization.

Fortis’s first assignment is a top-secret mission to investigate a distress signal originating from Menard-Kev, a frozen planet on the far side of the Maduro Jump Gate. The Law of Space requires all distress signals be investigated, but the law never considered that the signal might come from contested space, or that an investigation might spark a resumption of open hostilities between races.

What they discover at their destination, though, is so stunning and disturbing that it could re-ignite all-out war between humans and the Maltaani. Far from home, unable to report their findings, only quick thinking and decisive action by Fortis and his team can save the day.

It’s not the mission they wanted but it’s the mission they got, and their orders are always the same: DINLI.

Do it; not like it.

This next one's a little different, but that's why it's so fun.

And Then It Got Weird...

Some are born weird, some achieve weirdness, and others have weirdness thrust upon them.

- Not Bill Shakespeare, but you get the idea.

The grimoire you hold in your hands (tentacles? pincers?) contains thirteen twisted tales of freaky fantasy, grim gothic, paranormal peculiarities, ominous omens, and supernatural sci-fi.

Whether you like your fantasy darker than black coffee, your multi-verse meta-mischief light as whipped topping, or your sci-fi with Lovecraftian sprinkles, something contained within this tome ought to tickle your taste buds.

Just when you thought everything was going along quite normally…then it got weird.
