Everyone ready for Whamageddon?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all had something to be grateful for. I certainly do. One of the two things I did for November was 30 Days of Gratitude. Every day, I posted something for which I was grateful. The other thing I did with my November was National Novel Writing Month, ie NaNoWriMo.

There were times when it felt more like NoNoWhyMe, but I trudged through and got my words out. Guilted Cage, my Fallen World novel set in the abandoned grounds of the United States Air Force Academy, is now around halfway done. I also did a fair bit for my contribution to This I Swear, the next 4HU Wrogul novel from Robert Hampson and Sandra Medlock.

And now, finally, I'll stop complaining about people who put up Christmas too early. Put up your trees, your lights, your blow-up Santas-flying-airplanes (like I have), watch your Christmas movies (like Die Hard), and play your Christmas tunes (except as noted above).

Now, onto the exciting news!

After a much longer wait than I'd ever expected, Witch Hunt is finally coming out! Available for pre-order form Three Ravens Publishing!

They’ll fight the unseen evil, on the land or on the sea!

During one of the earliest blockade actions of the Civil War, Sergeant Alexander Philips of the United States Marine Corps, witnesses an unspeakable horror. With no explanation, he finds himself in charge of a group of hotheads and misfits in a strange, unorthodox unit. His new commander is the enigmatic Lieutenant Addison Green, who knows nothing about the military, but a great deal about something else entirely. He comes bearing a collection of weapons geared towards fighting something other than confederates.

The marines of M Company take part in the Battle of Roanoke Island, doing a job far different than that of the other soldiers. They learn their true purpose—hunting the monsters that flood into the world in times of conflict. In the jungles of Roanoke, they find their first mission—the hunt down the mysterious woman in white, a witch who commands the legions of hell and enchants the unsuspecting.

Their journey takes them through Saint Augustine and behind enemy lines to New Orleans, where they find an even greater threat to the Union than they ever expected.

The latest from the Four Horsemen Universe!

It’s hard to live when you’re on the run…

Taylor Van Zant, the owner of Swamp Eagle Security, thought he was doing a good thing when he destroyed the slave ring operating out of Droxis, even though the slavers blew up the red diamond mine there as they tried to escape.

Unfortunately, the mine belonged to the synthetic intelligence running the Merchant Guild, and it was…displeased with the mine’s destruction, so it put out a death contract on all the members of Swamp Eagle Security.

Sometimes, though, the best way to get rid of a price on your head is to kill the person—or the SI—who put the mark on you in the first place, and when Sansar Enkh, the head of the Golden Horde mercenary company, invites Taylor into a group that is trying to dispatch the SI, all he can say is, “Yes.”

But the SI has amassed a huge fleet and has the ability to take over any person that opposes its will, so getting close enough to kill the SI will be perilous. As the Guild Wars draw to a close, it is quickly becoming a matter of “us or them,” and it will take all of Taylor’s experience, Sansar’s intel, and the help of a number of merc companies for them to have even a small chance of success…if indeed they have any at all.
