August News

After the big rush of my award in my last email, I didn't have too much awesomeness to follow up in this one, so I decided to post some pictures from my fini flight out of England, in 2018. Above is a picture I took from the flight deck of my MC-130J as we flew over the Harry Potter bridge in Scotland.

Here below is my very next picture from that flight. I'd just buzzed underneath a smaller civilian airplane, as I was flying 100 feet above the water across Lochness. You can see the outline of my window, measure for yourself how far above the water you think I am, and on the lake's edge you can make out the ruins of Urquhart Castle. I'm happy to be out of the Air Force, but there are some things I miss.

Enough of that, let's get to the new releases!

Kevin Ikenberry's alternate history novel, The Crossing, is finally here!

Behind enemy lines and displaced in time!

Before the Battle of Trenton, George Washington reputedly threw a coin across the river. What if that coin was a bicentennial quarter?

When a squad of ROTC cadets training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, in November 2008 find themselves transported to December 1776 in the days before the Battle of Trenton, they find a Continental Army in disarray and General George Washington contemplating the potential of a bleak future. To make matters worse, they’ve lost a modern M-16 rifle to a roving Hessian patrol. Understanding the ramifications of such a discovery, the cadets have no choice but to report to General Washington. Without ammunition or their own meager supplies, can Cadet Sergeant Jameel Mason and his friends steel Washington’s courage and set the infancy of the United States of America back on track?

From New Mythology Press, the start of the Witches Ambitions series!

In the Land of Five, witches are divided into five Covens based on their abilities. For those born without magic, like Lilith, the Arcane Ceremony, where witches are evaluated by the Council, is a waste of time.

When Lilith develops powers, though, her entire life turns upside down. With power comes responsibility, and with it, the serious possibility of leaving her home coven.

But her secrets don’t stay secret for long. An attack from a rogue witch forces her to use her newfound ability and reveals it to the entire Land of Five. Intrigued by her finesse, the Council recruits her. Fearing the consequences of saying no, Lilith accepts, but not everything is as it seems. Under their wing, Lilith gradually learns the truth—everything she’s learned about the Land of Five, herself included, has been nothing but lies.

Finally, the Fallen World Series continues! Some of you might recall, I have a book in this series due out in the near future.

Asher Mallone just wanted to do his time and retire. He and his family had plans. Unfortunately for him, the Teledyne Corporation had its own ideas, and they didn’t track with Mallone’s.

The more he did and the better he became at his job, the more important tasks Teledyne assigned him, ultimately culminating in the creation of a force of corporate espionage specialists better than any other. Past, present, or future.

Retirement could wait a little longer.

But there are forces both inside Teledyne and out who are bent on controlling everything and everyone in the world… no matter the cost. And Asher and his Specialists stand between the Corporate masters and everything they want.
