The Georgia State Panthers have punched their ticket to the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Georgia State entered the Sun Belt tournament as the third seed after finishing 9-5 in conference play.

On Monday, they beat Louisiana to win the Sun Belt Championship granting them a ticket to the Dance.

Head Coach Rob Lanier led the Panthers to their first tournament as the Georgia State head coach.

Coach Lanier is known as an offensive guru in the business.

Here are 3 Zone Offensive sets from Coach Lanier’s Playbook:

#1 - 41

41 is an action against the zone that gets a player downhill very quickly.

The action is designed to get the zone shifted.

Then once the zone shifts – a quick screen into a ball-screen.

This is a very good action if you have a dynamic guard that can touch the paint.

#2 - Cyclone 1

Cyclone 1 is an action that results in a flare action that sends a man to the middle for an open look.

This action is a very good misdirection action that reads on what the defender is doing.

If the defender takes the flare, then the middle slip will be open.

#3 - Dive

Dive is an action to try to get an overload.

The action is designed to run a shooter to an opposite side corner while lifting a player to create an overload on one side.

The post player will probably be open on the duck in as well as there will be an emphasis on taking away the shooters.

Coach Lanier has the Panthers primed to throw everything they have at a tough matchup vs. Gonzaga.
