Howdy ,
Sometimes I procrastinate (1).
I have two things I need to sort out (2), but so far I haven't done anything about either π.
One of them is a visit to a shop.
I ordered something online at the end of August. The problem (my mistake) is that I didn't read the instructions correctly, so I didn't pay when I should have. They cancelled the order because they received the money too late.
When I went to the shop to ask why I hadn't received the order, they told me it had been cancelled and that they would give the money back to me.
However, I really wanted the item I had ordered, so I reordered it and paid again, this time correctly. The good thing was that I got my order. The bad thing? I still haven't got the money back from the first order π¬.
Maybe they won't give me cash - perhaps I'll get a voucher (3) to spend in their store. I would prefer money, but a voucher is OK too; there are other things I want to buy from that store.
The second thing is with a government office. The problem: I'm not sure if they have my correct address.
I moved in July last year. In January this year, I asked an officer to change my address. But, I think she might have only informed (4) one part of the business, not my local office.
I think this is what happened because I haven't heard anything from them since I saw them in January.
Yes, I should go in and check on things. From visits there in the past, I know that it's not scary, that the people are lovely. However, I've got memories from not-so-nice visits to other government offices π.
It's easier to get on with life and forget that there is (or might be) a problem.
It means I have to put visits to both of those places into my schedule.
I need to stop procrastinating - I'll do them this week.
Maybe....
Are you a procrastinator, too, ? Is there something you're putting off that you really should do?
Wishing you a week of action!
Andrea
(1) procrastinate - when you don't do things you know you need to do and you fill the time with other, less important things.
(2) sort out - understand the problem and fix it
(3) voucher - a piece of paper that lets you pay for something (it isn't money). Or it lets you pay less than the regular price (it gives you a discount).
(4) informed - told, given information
