Walking through the middle of France

From Vaucouleurs to Vézelay

Hi ,


When you read this, I will have nearly finished this year's walking holiday in France. I planned to walk about three hundred kilometres, from Vaucouleurs to Vézelay, and as I send this, I have one day to go (about twenty kilometres).


It's been an amazing experience.


Most nights, I have stayed in small towns, and a number of them have interesting stories that I haven't had time to focus on.  I just know that I've been through the birthplace of General Charles de Gaulle and through a town closely connected to Pierre-August Renoir, the artist.
