Someone asked me if I thought Vespa is worth it. That's funny to me because my first scooter was a Genuine Scooter Co model.

Nope. Vespa wasn't worth it to me then.

Now that I'm a card carrying member of the Vespa Club of America, I still say - IT DEPENDS!

When I started riding, I felt like scooters were made for 5'10" parts of the population (mainly men), so I was super conscious of the height of the scooters I'd try out. I couldn't put my finger on why a universal 29" seat height didn't quite cut it when I was shopping, though.

Yes, the width of the seat plays into it, but a YouTube subscriber, Tyler, helped me realize - it's the weight! I did a video on it here if you haven't watched it yet & find yourself struggling - regardless of your height it seems!

Scooter Newbie Update

🤕 Rich had surgery for the broken bits in his ankle, and he's on the mend. He's still in the non-weight bearing stage, so it will be a hot minute before he's cruising around on the AK550 again. I am taking it on mini-rides to keep it happy, though.

🏠 We moved recently, so you'll see new backgrounds in videos if you subscribe there. We are far from unpacked, but I do think the new place will make it easier to pop a camera up & record.

🛵 The neighbor really, really likes to see Marisa (the Buddy Kick) scooting around, so we may have a new newbie joining our tribe. Fingers crossed. 🤣
