🛵 Quick question about your gloves

Hello, scooter friend!

I’m pretty frugal, and I find that most scooter riders are in the same boat. It’s fun to ride on 2 wheels, scooters are pretty affordable, but we’ll splurge 💵 where we need to. We throw in a little of when we want to from time-to-time, too.

But for the most part - we use what we own until it can’t be used anymore.

Enter my gloves.🧤 I bought these the week I bought my scooter over 3 years ago, and I noticed over this summer they started wearing down.

Do you see that wear on the palm pad? There are spots like that in many places from just everyday wear & tear.

I’m retiring this pair. I figure if I’ve used them so much that they are wearing for me now, they won’t add much in the way of protection if I ever need them that way.

Then layer in how much Rich loves his heated gloves. He’s got the Gerbing 12V Vanguard heated ones that connect directly to his AK550 battery.

That seems like a pain, but I know I don’t want cold hands all fall & winter. I’ve layered every glove I have & my hands just cramp or I’m uncomfortable & avoid riding as much as I can.

It’s time to add in a glove that can handle the cold, maybe some waterproofing, and definitely NOT a short cuff like I’ve been using.

That air blowing up the arms of my jacket is NOT pleasant.

This leads me to you.

  • How are your gloves looking?
  • Can you get away with 1 pair year round or do you have a cold & hot pair?
  • Do you think heated gloves are worth it?

Huge fan of the extra foot placement option, too! It's all in the details.

Enjoy!

Have an awesome week!

Be seen & be safe, scooter friend! ♥

Take care,
