It's the end of another summer month. For some of you this is your riding season, so I truly hope you're enjoying the heck out of it while you can!

For those that have the extended season - please stay hydrated out there!

I bought some accessories for my Vespa right before we moved, and then the move happened so fast that they ended up in a box. Shameful. I know.

I've righted the wrong.

This got me thinking about all of the accessories we've installed across the scooters.

My favs so far:

Storage.

You can't go wrong with storage, so the rack to support storage has been the first things I've bought on all 4 of the scooters so far. Those are model specific, but here are online shops that I use as my go-tos currently (depending on the scooter):

Then comes whatever storage option - roll bag, top box or net. These are interchanged between scooters where possible, but the mesh net is used on all of our scooters practically all of the time. We literally carry 2 nets in all 3 scooters.

Safety

I have installed brighter lights on the Vespa GTS 300, and I've made the 'dummy' lights work on the Genuine Buddy Kick.

I've also added reflective decals on my scooters. Well. Rich won't let me near his AK550 with them, but even that got a little treatment on his license plate frame.

Comfort

My favorite accessory for comfort is definitely my Cheeky Seats seat cover on my Buddy Kick. I know it changed the look of the scooter, but it also made the seat more comfortable on hot days! That struggle was real!

In cooler weather, I have definitely appreciated the windscreen on my Vespa which brings me to....

Accessories I don't love

That windscreen in the summer makes it too hot in my gear! The time I rode without a jacket, it also made the back of my shirt ride up like the dudes on the highway. Not a good look or feel - constantly adjusting is a distraction.

I hate all of the phone holders I've tried. I hear it can mess up your camera anyhow, but I have had nothing but issues with phone holders. I'm hoping to catch a good GPS unit on sale at Christmas because I prefer not to have my phone end up on the road.
