The day of love is around the corner, and no matter where you fit on the spectrum of love/hate of the holiday, this one thing is true - you love your scooter!

So let’s show our scooters some love by giving them some TLC! Here are a few ideas to keep your scooter in top shape:

▶️ Clean it up. A thorough wash/wax or just a 5 minute quick shine

▶️ Check the oil. Easy peasy. While I don’t have issues with my 300 GTS burning oil, I still like to check it from time to time… just in case. It’s too expensive to neglect. 🤣

▶️ Check the tire pressure. And the tire itself. More on that in a minute.

Scooter Happenings Around My Garage

I’m sitting down to go over the family calendars to see if I can swing a trip to either Amerivespa in Flagstaff, AZ or the Texas Hill Country Turtle Rally. I’d love to know if you’re going to one or if you want to chime in with another option to figure out tomorrow. 📅

Now onto the tire story…

The AK550 was parked in a different spot, so the sun hit the back tire differently. What is that shine that catches my eye? Sparkling bits of STEEL. 

We just had it in the shop & asked if the tire needed replaced yet. 2 weeks later we’re seeing that the tire had worn the rest of the way to steel. If you’re a vehicle newbie - that’s a-bit-too-late-indicator to replace your tire.

Here's to hoping we can pick up The Beast this afternoon because yes, we are supporting a small, local motorcycle shop for this. 🛞

Wanna see what a $50 scooter looks like? That’s my version of click-bait. How about one that cost $50 used & then had $100 added to it? So $150…

Kevin did just that! He sent this over while in the process of sprucing it up. It’s a 49cc VIP Future Champion. With a new ignition & stator, it would top out at 30 mph, but tinkering some more he’s now riding 40+mph. 

Lastly - just a heads up that I’m switching email companies soon when I figure out all the tech. Let me know if you notice any funny business over the next few weeks, & the tacos 🌮 will be on me when we meet down the line. 😊
