L’explorateur et aventurier Belge Louis-Philippe Loncke (44 ans) va tenter un défi surréaliste : Camper en l’air pendant une semaine sans descendre d’une plateforme de 5m². Il sera suspendu par une grue à environ 10m du sol. Il sera équipé d’une tente, d’un réchaud à gaz, d’eau et nourriture. Il devra faire face aux éléments comme le froid, le vent, le mouvement pendulaire de la plateforme et surtout l’ennui. « En expédition je suis en mouvement. Là je suis statique et c’est un défi mental que je ne connais pas». Un documentaire « Confiné dans ma Tente » sur le défi sera réalisé.

L’installation #ConfinedinMyTent se situera en face de l’office du tourisme de Tournai du 15 au 22 décembre.

Un message pour illustrer ce qu’est la liberté.

« Par ce défi, je veux rappeler le concept de liberté. La liberté s'arrête où commence celle des autres, elle n’est jamais totale puisqu’il y a toujours les règles et les lois fixées par la communauté. Sur la plateforme, je suis libre de faire ce que je veux mais le périmètre de ma liberté est limité. C’est pareil avec la liberté d’expression, j’exprime ce que je veux tant que je ne fais pas de mal à quelqu’un»

Interagir avec le public.

« J’espère pouvoir échanger avec le public et partager mon activité journalière par des vidéos sur les réseaux sociaux. » Par ce défi je récolte aussi des dons pour les associations qui luttent contre la pauvreté infantile.

De Belgische ontdekkingsreiziger en avonturier Louis-Philippe Loncke (44) gaat een surrealistische uitdaging aan: een week lang in de lucht kamperen zonder van een platform van 5 m² af te dalen. Hij zal worden opgehangen door een kraan op ongeveer 10 meter van de grond. Hij zal worden uitgerust met een tent, een gasfornuis, water en voedsel. Hij zal tegen de elementen moeten strijden, zoals de kou, de wind, de slingerbeweging van het platform en vooral de verveling. "Op een expeditie ben ik in beweging. Hier ben ik statisch en het is een mentale uitdaging die ik niet ken. Er zal een documentaire "Confined in my Tent" over de uitdaging worden gemaakt.

De installatie #ConfinedinMyTent staat van 15 tot 22 december bij de toerisme kantoor in Doornik.

Een boodschap om de vrijheid te illustreren.

"Met deze uitdaging wil ik het begrip vrijheid in herinnering brengen. De Vrijheid stopt waar de vrijheid van anderen begint, zij is nooit totaal omdat er altijd regels en wetten zijn die door de gemeenschap zijn vastgesteld. Op het platform ben ik vrij om te doen wat ik wil, maar de omtrek van mijn vrijheid is beperkt. Het is hetzelfde met vrijheid van meningsuiting, ik druk uit wat ik wil zolang ik niemand kwets.”

"Ik hoop met het publiek te communiceren en mijn dagelijkse bezigheden te delen via video's op sociale media. Via deze uitdaging zamel ik ook donaties in voor verenigingen die strijden tegen kinderarmoede.

Belgian explorer and adventurer Louis-Philippe Loncke (44) will attempt a surreal challenge: camping in the air for a week without descending from a 5m² platform. He will be suspended by a crane at about 10m from the ground. He will be equipped with a tent, a gas stove, water and food. "With this challenge, I want to remind people of the concept of freedom. Freedom stops where others' freedom begins, it is never total because there are always rules and laws set by the community. On the platform, I am free to do what I want but the perimeter of my freedom is limited. It's the same too with freedom of expression, I express what I want as long as I don't hurt anyone.

"I hope to interact with the public and share my daily activity through videos on social networks." Through this challenge I am also collecting donations for associations that fight against child poverty.
