It’s been a little while since my last update, so I hope your summer is off to a great start and your TBR pile is keeping you company in the sunshine.

I’ve been deep in creative mode lately, taking an interesting course with Story Grid and making real progress on Book 2 of The Intrigue of Magic. I’m now onto copy editing before it heads to beta readers—a stage that always feels both exciting and slightly nerve-wracking.

Big news on The Cost of Magic:

What started out as a short reader magnet has grown into a full-length novel! It’s now officially with my copy editor. What began as a simple backstory for how Torvia became a spy turned into something far more layered—and, to be honest, challenging to write. I found myself walking a fine line between guidance and manipulation as her journey unfolded. It’s a story with serious ethical weight, and I hope I’ve done it justice—but that’s for readers to decide.

More updates on The Cost of Magic will be coming soon!

In the meantime, the blurb for The Discovery of Magic has been updated to better reflect its themes of power and control. It now features both the Royal Mage and Darien—and the timing couldn’t be better, as The Discovery of Magic will be on sale starting June 19th! My favourite paragraph is:
