Winter isn't winter without chocolate penguins

Dear ,
I hope this message finds you well. A chill is definitely in the air now as November sets in, and the shops are full of seasonal treats. I’m especially happy to have a posse of chocolate penguins keeping me company for the next few weeks!
On the writing front, I’m not participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, where writers worldwide attempt to draft a 50,000-word novel in November—who knew books could be so short?), but I’ve made excellent progress on Book 2. So far, I’ve cut over 10,000 words—turns out the characters were doing a lot of talking but not enough action. Now, Alice is on a determined quest to gather evidence against the Royal Mage, with the help of a new ally. Jaime is attempting to return to Parsa, and Torvia has become a new point-of-view character. Through her perspective, readers will gain new insight into the palace treachery and experience more advanced magic.
While you’re waiting for the rewriting to be complete, here are some offers:
Happy reading,
L. J. Evias
