Final Week of the Movie Club
Nov 30, 2020 10:16 pm
Wow, 4 out of 5 weeks have gone and we're at our final Movie Club discussion. Last night's discussion of Silver Linings Playbook (2012) really got us digging into how people's mental health can suffer and mental health challenges can be exacerbated by other people's reactions, own challenges, character and so forth. This film was so multi-layered I think we could have discussed it for another whole hour. 🙃
So, for our final weekend of movie discussions, the topic is Relationships, Sex and Technology for which I have an amazing movie that would throw in a few more rich elements - like sexual orientation, cheating, friendship and alternative models of relationships too.
''Striking Vipers'' is actually an episode of Black Mirror - (IMDb) (trailer) and is available on Netflix and Amazon Prime too.
If you're not familiar with Black Mirror, worry not - you don't have to watch the whole series in order to understand Striking Vipers. Each Black Mirror episode is actually a stand alone movie. So fear not, you can simply find and watch Striking Vipers - it's its own movie.
Join us for the final Movie Club meeting this Sunday - sign up here (by Friday).
