Good News: Your Reasons Are Valid. Bad News: No-One Cares.

This might hurt your feelings, but it needs to be said.

Although your ADD/ADHD diagnosis is not your fault.

Where you are now, and what you do about it in the future is your fault and is your responsibility.

The behaviors you choose to carry out every day and the habits you engage with.

The relationships you build, your career choice, everything is on you to make something of it in whatever way you decide.

If you make bad choices, no one is coming to save you from the consequences of those choices.

If you make good choices, you’re the one that will reap the benefits of your efforts.

This reality affects every human being on the planet the same, regardless of their mental health challenges.

Our greatest enemy is the person we see when we look in the mirror every day.

The person whose internal dialogue often consists of an overwhelming amount of self-sabotage.

The person who seeks pain avoidance instead of delayed gratification.

The person who finds comfort in using their ADD/ADHD as a cop-out instead of something to take advantage of. ( yes I said it )

The next step towards leveling up with ADD/ADHD is accepting responsibility for your life.

Accepting that your identity is not limited to the labels written on your medical records.

Accepting that, no matter how small, you can take action today to start getting your life together.

Taking back control, little by little, becoming someone who no longer retreats from life’s calls to action.

I have deep empathy for you and your situation as it’s one that I’ve lived my entire life also having ADHD.

But the current climate of ADHD culture online is, in my opinion, focused more on understanding each other instead of taking action.

My goal is to make you feel understood while lighting a fire under your ass at the same time.

After our time together I want you to be able to look at your situation, your reasons, your past, your excuses. Look it all dead in the face and say…

Good

Try and stop me.

After our time together, not even you will be able to get in your way.

See you tomorrow.
