You’re Probably Going To Fail.

Before we start getting into the how-to’s on the habits I listed in the last email, I think it’s important to face reality for most of you just starting out.
You’re probably going to fail.
Call me an asshole all you want, I’m just being honest.
I’m sure you’ll have a great reason for it too, just like all the other times you tried and failed to be better.
Developing habits and managing your ADHD is hard, and it takes time, trial, and error to figure out what’s perfect for you.
But guess what?
You can fail all you want :)
Yes, I’m permitting you to fail. Go fail, go fail quickly.
The next emails I write to you are certainly going to help you fail less, or perhaps not at all for a lucky few of you.
But failure is a risk we take to be bold in the first place.
Without the risk of failure, we don’t require courage to do anything.
But without courage, we will never do anything important or remarkable.
So will you be comfortable or courageous?
The only difference between most people who are successful or not in manifesting their ideal self is not how many failures they went through, but simply if it stopped them or not.
If you can’t be stopped, you’re probably going to find a way to do something eventually.
So whatever you do, as we get into the strategies and tactics to level up your life—DO NOT QUIT.
If you feel like you can’t do it on your own, there’s no shame in that. To ask for help takes courage in itself. I’m ready to help you if you want it.
Just shoot me an email and we can chat about how we can work things out to get you winning faster and easier.
But you can’t quit because you’re not going to settle for less than the best for yourself.
The best doesn’t necessarily equate to perfect, but it sure is a significant improvement from where you are now.
So if you fail to try these things out at first, that’s not inherently a bad thing.
Look at every failure as simply a way to correct your approach the next time.
Sometimes your failings may knock you down so hard that you feel like you can’t get up again.
It’s critical that, if and when this happens, you don’t compare yourself to who you were before.
Instead, meet yourself where you are now and consider your next action from the perspective of your ideal self or role model.
Ask yourself, "What would they do?"
It’s easy to get lost in the negative emotions and cynicism that come from failure and hard times.
Sometimes you have to detach from the situation in order to change your perspective.
Remember what I said about self-esteem? ( probably not lol ) It’s about your ability to treat yourself with high regard, despite your flaws.
So if you fail as you try to implement these upcoming strategies, get up and keep going.
Your ability to tolerate failure is going to measure how fast you learn what works best for you.
Stay humble, fail forward, and stay focused.
It’s time to start the level-up.
Starting with your fitness.
See you tomorrow.
