Where we are this week
Something very different and out of the ordinary today. I have posted on Facebook, but I know many people don't use that platform, so to keep you up to date with this most momentous of events in my life, I'm sending you a brief update. If it's not for you, just delete.
It is with the greatest sadness that I’m letting you know Tracey died in the small hours of yesterday morning. I’m as you would expect - massively sad and somewhat disbelieving.
The hospice at Eastbourne were amazing in every way, they really looked after her, keeping her out of pain and comfortable so she could enjoy her visitors and her time there, they’re super skilled at what they do. I’m so grateful to them.
Someone suggested that I start a GoFundMe for St Wilfrid's Hospice who looked after my daughter in her last few days. I was intending to give them a substantial gift, but I hadn't thought of asking anyone else. It was a good idea.
They are such a valuable service, given with such compassion. It's a fantastic place, and all funded by donations.
My daughter Sam has started off a page and if you'd like to contribute a £ or two, they will use every penny to continue looking after people when they really really need it
I'm feeling shell shocked today, in a state of unreality. I'm so glad I went to see her at the hospice after the event. I was able to say goodbye, and it helps makes the complete unreality of it just a little more real
Sam has set up a page for those incredible people to be able to continue what they do so well
With all best wishes, until next time
