Pokemon TCG: Eevee Heroes Japanese Set Pre Order

As mentioned last week, Eevee Heroes will be coming out at the end of this month. Pre-orders are going to start this week in preparation for the release.

Pokemon Center Online is going to take pre-orders starting on Friday, 5/7, at 10:00 am JST. For everyone in Hawaii, that is Thursday, 5/6, at 3:00 pm.

I am most interested in the special box set featuring the sleeves, deck boxes, and the gorgeous Espeon promo card. The set is in the picture above and the Espeon card is shown below.

Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity is game inspired by Pokemon and CryptoKitties. In this game, you can battle, breed, and collect pets.

This game is based on Ethereum and is considered a crypto-game. One of the benefits of it being on the blockchain is that you own all your assets and can sell them for real money.

The catch is that you need to buy 3 pets, called Axies, to get started. And these Axies are not cheap. The cheapest ones are about $150 at the moment and fluctuates based on the value of Ether. So that means it costs around $500 to get started.

At current market prices, you can earn about $30/day playing the game for about 40 minutes each day. So it would take you a little over half a month to break even.

I'm still debating whether or not to dip my toes into the game. But the concept is intriguing because it blends in a Pokemon-like experience with collectibles that you own.
