Hey Book Lover!

I hope your week has been going well. Mine is flying by, but I feel that way about 2021 in general. I think I've blinked and lost a whole year. Do you feel that way too?

Over here, we've been decorating for the holidays. We're Canadian so we don't have to wait until Thanksgiving is over (ours is in early October!). Basically, once I get around to getting all the Halloween things down, I tend to start pulling out the holiday decor. Little Man is so excited, he keeps asking when Ho Ho (how he says Santa) is coming. And every time we go to the store and he wants something I just tell him to ask Santa for it -- which is working great for now but what excuse can I use come January?! Haha.

Little Lady is trying her darndest to walk. She holds onto everything, tries to let go, and quickly falls and gets angry. She watches her brother and just wants to move after him so bad. For now, we call her Baby Godzilla since she loves to crawl right in the middle of her brother's train track spread and destroy the whole thing.

Today's email comes to you with a couple announcements. First, my next story is out as of yesterday! Bleeding Heart is the story of Colt's older brother, Beau, the town Sheriff. He meets Rose, a single mom on the run, and they fall in love.

In the middle of the night, I ran with nothing but a fractured plan and a little boy I promised myself I would protect at any cost.

I ran until I reached Sage River, which felt like the safest place to be in the middle of nowhere. We needed to start over, leave our muddied past behind and start fresh. I just didn’t expect to meet the county Sheriff the day I arrived.

Beau Butler is gorgeous and kind, but he’s also the Sheriff, and I have no doubt my ex is looking for me, spinning the story to make it sound like I’m the bad guy.

The last person I should be spending all my time with is the same Sheriff, who, if he knew who I was, would haul me straight to jail and call my ex to come and get our son.

So, why can’t I stay away?

But as good at running as I am, my past will catch up to me, and it won’t just be my heart on the line when it does. It’ll also be my son’s safety here in Sage River.

Can I do what it takes to protect him, or will I have to walk away from the man I love?
