The first book in the completed Greylyn the Guardian Angel trilogy, Rekindled Prophecy, has a section where the female protagonist races off to NW Washington, DC to fight the baddies while leaving a hot baddie behind to guard the innocents at the inn (if you've read the book, you understand). But did not elaborate on what was going on at the inn and what the hot baddie was up to during the protagonist's absence. Did he behave? Did he do as promised and protect the innocent humans?
