Ghost Hunting Shenanigans Part 4

Jul 29, 2025 1:31 pm

The night of the paranormal investigation at the iconic Morris Costumes in Charlotte, NC with #spookyclt and #charlotteareaparanormalsociety ended with quite the frights!

While I got the creepiest vibes from the bunny heads, the spookiest but fun part of the evening came at the end when we camped out in the attic near the animatronics. Some were on so we ignored those but others were completely motion-activated. We sat several yards away and asked questions which some were answered with the light rope illuminating briefly but MOST were answered another way.

Two animatronics in particular were sketchy. At first I thought perhaps they were on a timer but was assured by staff and someone on the team who double-checked that this was NOT the case.

A mummy closest to me lit up and moved (I was a good 10 feet away) but it was the screaming girl spinning in a bucket that stole the show. No one was near her. There was no reason for her to keep turning on, screaming and spinning around but she did A LOT! I tried timing the occurrences but nothing synched - it could be anywhere from a minute between her "fits" or up to ten minutes between.

And the answers from the spirit box sealed it: The spirit wanted us OUT!

Now I did not feel anything frightening from this encounter, just a spirit tired of being asked endless questions all night.

And that's the extent of my experiences from that evening. If anyone else who participated on the ghost hunt at Morris Costumes wishes to relay their own tales, please let me know.
