BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS FORTHCOMING!!!

Hi, everyone! Thank you for your patience and understanding as I've dealt with quite a lot over the last year. Let's face it, 2023 was difficult. There are a plethora of more adjectives for 2023, but we'll just stick with "difficult." Both my reading (and subsequent reading recommendations) AND my writing were severely neglected while I dealt with the failing health and death of my mother in 2023.

It's 4 months into 2024 now and I am pleased to discover that light at the end of the tunnel was not an oncoming train. My creative mojo has returned with a vengeance. As a matter of fact, I'm hopeful this is the beginning of a beautiful rest of my life and a beautiful friendship with all of you.

Being so optimistic now, I have three major announcements that I hope you will be excited to hear:

1) I've been reading for pleasure again and have lots of new steamy paranormal and fantasy book recommendations! See below for the first set of reading recs!

2) I've been writing and will share my latest book release news with you in a couple of weeks so be on the lookout for the May 7th newsletter.

3) My brain has been in overdrive with new stories to write in the future and some of those stories branch out to other genres. Stay tuned while I figure out how to navigate these brave new worlds.

I am bubbling over with excitement for all the creative endeavors I am involved in currently and plan to be involved in the near future.

Again, thank you for your patience over the last year and several months.

Now... on to my reading recommendations for the April 2024!

You all know my weakness is paranormal angel romance. It runs in my blood. So it's no surprise that TK Lawyer is one of my favorite authors and that this book is a dream read for me. Now, I'm still waiting on the release (May 14, 2024) but anything angel romance PLUS anything by TK, I'm all in, no questions asked. The moment it hits my Kindle, I will be unavailable until my eyes see the words, "The End."

Will Josiah let you pass, or will you drop into an unknown abyss?

As an usher to the Other Side, meeting the fabled Josiah means your Mortal Life is gone.

Your fate shall be measured by the decisions made in life.

Will your soul pass through the gates to utter bliss or plummet into darkness, agony, and pain?

Judgment is made by him, and it is final.

When Josiah meets Damaris- a woman who was not yet expected to appear –his decision becomes one he may later regret.

Still, he must know her.

Will Damaris allow Josiah to love her? To care for her in a way no human can, or will she turn her back on what may be her greatest opportunity to find happiness in the arms of an angel?

Alpha's Forbidden Mate: An Enemies to Lovers Paranormal Shifter Romance

By Luna Sharp

Alpha Mates. Forbidden love. Enemies to Lovers. Shifters. Paranormal Romance. It's got it all to reel me in. Luna does an amazing job of crafting paranormal romance in my favorite tropes. It's ablaze with steamy romance but also incorporates action and mystery for a fine balance that kept me turning the page.

Kidnapped and auctioned, I danced to survive, never expecting my captor to steal my heart.

I'm Eva, a ballerina with a secret, thrown into a world where my dance could be my doom or my salvation.

Alpha Adrian, the man who bought me, expects submission. But I gave him defiance, my slap his only reward.

Imprisoned, I vowed to escape, until a mysterious bond pulled me closer to him, revealing secrets and powers I never knew I had.

His world is dangerous, filled with enemies and ancient magic, but as we grow closer, I start to see the man behind the monster.

Now, as danger threatens everything we hold dear, I'm torn between my past and a future with Alpha Adrian.

Luna Hunted

While this one is YA centric paranormal shifter romance, and I am sadly no longer considered YA, I enjoyed it so much that it didn't matter. Add to that an enemies to lovers trope (hunter and the hunted), I fell hard for Yaz and Ezra. And since it's a series, the second book, Luna Condemned, is already qued up next on my Kindle.

We all wept when my brother died. We wept and howled, and I cursed the Moon.

Maybe that’s why I’ve been so tortured.

My parents held me back to keep me safe. “ Yaz, you can’t do this. Yaz, you can’t go there,” all so I wouldn’t suffer the same fate as my brother.

They were right, because when I finally went out into the world, I soon found myself trapped in a dark abyss with a hunter named Ezra. That’s right…our mortal enemies. While his penetrating eyes seethed with hatred, I was blinded by compassion. And what we found was that we had more in common than either would admit, not to mention the unavoidable attraction I felt for him physically. He was brash and arrogant yet tall and unbelievably handsome. His chiseled physique and brooding intensity made him impossible to ignore.

He was a warrior, but as we looked up at the impossible height, we were forced to begin a treacherous journey together to get back to our people. I took care of him because he was injured, but I knew deep down there might be more to it than that.

I hated him, and he hated me. It was the way of things, it was destiny. And yet sometimes destiny can change. Sometimes desire can be cursed. And our every decision will have consequences back home…even if everything feels right in the moment.

But it’s a law of the universe that a hunter and a wolf can never fall in love…

…right?

*******************************************************************************************

That's all for this week. I'll be back May 7, 2024 with the 2nd major announcement and more reading recommendations as--after being starved for creativity and time to read for pleasure--I am now full steam ahead in both endeavors.

Love and hugs,

KC
