I am in the midst of cobbling together writing workshops for the FRQs on both the AP Lit. and AP Lang. exam.
Between wedding planning and the beautiful Upstate New York weather, I was only able to tackle making a video for Richard Blanco’s “Shaving” and the Sonia Sotomayor speech “A Latina Judge’s Voice.”
Per usual, I “Bob Ross” my way through the essays while demonstrating for students and teachers how to construct the essay while pulling the strings of my templates.
There are a ton of exemplars and models to help demystify the process of crafting these particular free-response questions.
I’m chomping at the bit to write about the octopus … that’s what tonight is reserved for.
Here’s the video link for the poem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK5T3OWUxFw&t=69s

If you’d like the slides so that you can host your own writing workshop, just let me know.
Happy teaching and happy writing!
