As promised, attached you will find a writing workshop for The People Vs. the School System. This is an argumentative-synthesis essay I ran with my seniors, and they absolutely loved it. Our Socratic Seminar was rich and rife with insight.
When you watch the video, think of Bob Ross. To large extent, I "paint" with you and your students while demonstrating how my templates and heuristics can be used to construct the essay. I've also attached an editable PowerPoint if you'd like to host a writing workshop in your class that mirrors how I approach instruction.
