What is the Masterclass?
It’s a live (Zoom) five-week professional development intensive to show teachers how to teach writing in a way that feels aligned and engaging while helping their students grow and mature as effective writers.
We meet every Sunday evening for an hour followed by Q&A.
During these five sessions, teachers learn how to equip their students with the templates of the syllogistic method as well as the declarative and inverted thesis.
Plus, teachers learn how to take a “Bob Ross” approach to teaching writing that guarantees the growth and success of their student writers.
And lastly, given that the true bane of the English teacher’s existence is the sheer volume of essays we need to grade, the Masterclass will also equip you with my 40 alternatives to traditional grading.
I place a hard cap on the number of teachers I accept into the class so that I can offer enough 1:1 assistance. During our five weeks together, one goal is to have your writing workshops developed to perfection and ready to go for the entire academic year.
