The robins and geese have returned to Upstate New York, which signals the fact that it is officially AP Test-Prep Season.
At present, I am running a "Hammering the Thesis Point" crash course whereby we are cranking intros for FRQ 1 (AP Lit.) all while pulling the strings of my inverted thesis template.
In this writing workshop video, you'll see exemplars/models for the following exam prompts:
✏️ Richard Blanco "Shaving"
✏️ AI "The Man with the Saxophone"
✏️ PK Page "The Landlady"
Hopefully this helps demystify things for your students so that they can crush the thesis point with pizazz and flair.
On Thursday of this week, I will send a separate email for FRQ 2: AP Language (Rhetorical Analysis) which features my declarative thesis template.
Also, in the coming weeks, I will be offering my annual FREE webinar series whereby I demonstrate for teachers and students how to write each FRQ for both Lit. and Lang. with one single template.
Details to follow.
Happy teaching and happy writing!
