Happy Wednesday !

It's a rainy and dreary day here in NC. How's the weather where you are? I enjoyed having the past two weekends off and used that time to catch up on sleep and housework. I also got in some words for my next book... but I'll talk more about that in a minute.

The next two weekends will be filled with volleyball travels once again. We get to stay local this weekend, but next week I'll be traveling to Louisville, KY! I've never been there before, so we're all excited to see the sights of a new city and I hear the drive is beautiful.

I've finally made some good progress with my next book and I'm excited to share a few details with you. Since I do so much traveling these days, I'm always observing the locations I visit. I live in Western North Carolina, and while I'm technically not in the mountains, my little town is surrounded by them in the distance. I'm only an hour away from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and I decided that would be the perfect setting for my next series.

Of course, it's not going to be a real town--read more about why I always choose made up locations--so I had to get creative with the name. It needed to be a small town, nestled in the mountains, that was possibly a touristy attraction. So in the next series, you will visit River Ridge, North Carolina. It's right in the middle of Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC and barely a blip on the map. Known for its beautiful hiking river trails, the town is made up of one big family that welcomes visitors from all around.
